Is this Fulmar Fever’s Year ?

Some of you might have seen that Fulmar Fever owned by Robert Marchant has not been on her mooring for the last few weeks. Where has she been…

After an extremely tough and Successful Dun Laoghaire to Dingle race she has set here bar even higher.

She is currently at the south coast of England preparing for the Fastnet Race which will start on Sunday afternoon August 6th.

On paper Fulmar Fever is one of the slowest boats but nothing is deterring Robert and helmsman Dave Delahunte to give it their all. On handicap they can still win !

This year brings out nearly 350 boats for this epic race, starting in Cowes Isle of White, around the Fastnet light house of West Cork and with a finish at the majestic harbour wall of Plymouth

A novelty in this race is that there will be 7 Imoca 65 boats racing ; this is their first meeting prior to the Volvo ocean race starting in 2 months time.

Fulmar fever is therefore in extremely respectful company and we wish her and her crew a good race.

You can follow Fulmar Fever via the website and even race in the race from your own armchair !

  1. Great to see the WHSC tradition in action. Watch the last leg, great positions lost due to fatigue. Have your best Driver fresh for this leg.
    Best of luck.
