Up to 80 sailors – aged from 14 up to their 70s – from 20 clubs are converging on WHSC this weekend for the 2022 Port of Waterford Laser Connaught Championships.
Racing starts at 12 midday on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, with three races planned per day. The forecast is looking good and we’d love you to come out and help give them a warm Dunmore East welcome.
Our callout for volunteers got a great response. Thanks to everyone who has stepped forward – the club can’t operate without your help. Anyone additional interested in helping out ashore is still very welcome.
Many thanks to our generous sponsors Port of Waterford.
The clubhouse and bar will be open from 8am serving fresh Irish breakfast rolls, coffee and the full range of snacks and drinks. Please join us for a barbecue both afternoons – from 4pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. See the menu below.
The event has been making the news locally and nationally – including an interview with our commodore by Geoff Harris on The Lunchbox on WLR this lunchtime.
